Church Grounds Spruce-up/Storage Shed

Last Spring, the first annual "Spruce Up, Chow Down" organized by Bob Boylan took place.  Morn to mid-afternoon the sounds of bobcats, shovels, rakes, hammers, drills and tools and a few grunts, along with friendship and laughter could be heard while thirty some members and guests  worked together digging, building, cleaning, planting and watering the church grounds.  A barbeque and salad  lunch was also enjoyed by all.  Later this summer, Ray Trauffer organized and built a great new storage shed. Thanks also to Dan Szmiot and friends for time and materials donated. Also to Robert and Jan Jamison (Patenaude), Donna Trauffer, Ray Troutman, Robert Wagner.

2001 Vacation Bible School--From Linda

Our children are growing up!!  I remember how easy it was to have all these little children running in the front door of the church and little hands working on crafts and little voices singing new songs on Vacation Bible School Sunday.  As our children grow, I thought it might be fun to incorpo

rate all children (that's means adult children as well) to form a
choir next summer - Summer Music Camp at the Marble Community Church.  I haven't got all the details down, but it's a goal I'd like to achieve.  Anyone with
musical talents and/or music, ideas will be welcome.

During the week, we learned how God can change the heart of a person; from greed to service from hate to love.  But we also learned if the heart is
unwilling it does not receive.  Abbey and Luke sang a duet and the children sang a few pieces with Geoffrey Burns singing a solo.

We all celebrated
afterwards with
sandwiches and a penny carnival
outdoors.
Thank you Joy
Beeding, Joyce Preston and Mary Duke for
being extra hands and eyes.  I appreciate
everyone who brought snacks for our week.
